Meet Your White House Orthodontist, Dr. Ryan Wiesemann

Hi, I'm Dr. Ryan Wiesemann. I opened Wiesemann Orthodontics in May of 2011 after finishing my orthodontic residency training, and I've been caring for families across Northern Tennessee and Western Kentucky since 2007.

At our White House office I work with kids, teens and adults, and I try to keep every visit approachable and low pressure. I especially enjoy treating younger patients and watching their confidence grow as their smile comes together.

When you come in you'll get a straight answer about whether you need treatment, what your options are and what to expect. That honesty matters to me more than talking anyone into a plan they don't need.

White House Braces

Traditional braces are still one of the most reliable tools we have for straightening teeth and correcting bite problems. Small brackets attach to each tooth, a wire connects them, and over a series of visits that wire guides your teeth into place. Today's brackets are smaller and more comfortable than the ones you might remember.

Braces handle the widest range of cases, including the complex bite and spacing issues that clear aligners can't always fix. For a lot of White House families they're also the more budget friendly route, and kids get to pick their band colors at each visit. We'll tell you honestly if braces are the right call for your case.

White House Invisalign

If you'd rather straighten your teeth without brackets, Invisalign is the most popular alternative to braces. It uses a series of clear, removable aligners made to fit your teeth. You move to a new set every week or two, and each one nudges your teeth a little closer to where they should be.

Because the trays come out, you can eat what you like and brush and floss normally, which most adults and teens appreciate. The trade off is discipline. The aligners need to stay in 20 to 22 hours a day to work. Invisalign is a great fit for many common cases, though some complex ones are still better with braces. A free consultation is the quickest way to find out which suits you.
